What is a Community Needs Assessment?
- A Community Needs Assessment is a way for us to hear directly from you about the parks, recreational
facilities, and programs that matter most to our community. - It helps us understand what you love about our current offerings and where we can make
improvements or add new activities. - It’s also a chance to assess what’s working well, where we can improve, and what new amenities or
spaces you’d like to see in the future.
Why We’re Doing This:
- We want to ensure that our parks, programs, and recreational spaces reflect what you want and need.
- Whether you’re into sports, fitness, nature, arts, or simply spending time with your family and friends,
we want to make sure our community resources match your interests. - This assessment will help us prioritize improvements for our existing parks.
- We’re also looking ahead to new projects. Do we need more sports courts, trails, open grass areas, or
even a Rec Center? Your feedback will help guide these decisions and our planning for the next few years,
ensuring that your tax dollars are spent in the most effective way possible.
How We’ll Gather Feedback:
- Over the next few weeks, we’ll be conducting surveys and holding focus groups.
- We’ll also be out and about in the community at parks and events talking to residents, so you’ll have
lots of opportunities to share your thoughts. - We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you currently use our parks and what new facilities
or features would make your experience better. - We want to hear from people of all ages and backgrounds—your input matters no matter how big or
small your idea may seem.”
How Your Input Will Shape the Future:
- The feedback we collect will directly influence our decisions about new programs, park upgrades, and
future recreation facilities. - Do you think we need more sports fields, better walking trails, or more arts programs? This is your
chance to let us know. - We’re committed to making sure every voice is heard and that our future projects serve the entire
community.
Your feedback is essential in building the best parks and recreation programs for all of us. Please take a few minutes to fill out our survey, join us at a community event, or just come talk to us when you see us out in the parks.
Thank you for helping us create a vibrant, healthy, and connected community. We can’t wait to hear
from you!
Together, we can make our parks and recreation spaces better for everyone. Let’s create something
amazing!
