With the Fourth of July season approaching, firework restrictions have been put in place by the Tremonton City Council. These restrictions are effective from June 17, 2025, until December 31, 2025.
Here are some key points:
• It is unlawful for any person to sell, to discharge, or to have in their possession any fireworks in Tremonton City other than Class C Utah state approved fireworks and can be discharged only between July 2nd and July 5th from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm (and until midnight on the 4th of July). See Utah Code 53-7 (220-225) for more information on Utah laws and restrictions. These restrictions apply to the 24th of July celebrations too. Fireworks can be discharged only between July 22nd and July 25th from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm (and until midnight on the 24th of July)
• It is unlawful for any person to discharge any fireworks within 20 feet of any residence, dwelling, or structure.
• Fireworks possessed, sold, or offered for sale in violation of the restrictions may be seized and destroyed, and the license of the person selling or offering fireworks for sale may be revoked.
• Violation of this ordinance shall be a class B misdemeanor punishable by both fine and imprisonment as set forth in Utah law.
Due to unusual extreme hazardous fire conditions in certain portions of Tremonton City, the discharge of all fireworks, including Class C fireworks, is prohibited in the following areas:
o Prohibited Area No. 1: All land within Tremonton City limits that is north of the Highline Canal; west of 2300 West, and east of Interstate 84.

o Prohibited Area No. 2: All land within one hundred (100’) feet of the Sensitive Area Zoning District, which is shown generally known as the Malad River Bottoms.
