Chairman Fridal called the Tremonton Redevelopment Agency Meeting to order at 8:08 p.m. The meeting was held in the City Council Meeting Room at 102 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah. Those in attendance were Chairman Fridal, Board Members Holmgren, Rohde, Seamons, and Vance, Executive Director Warnke, and Executive Secretary Nessen. Board Member Archibald was excused. Also in attendance was Community Services Director Marc Christensen.
1. Approval of agenda:
Motion by Board Member Holmgren to approve the June 15, 2021 agenda. Motion seconded by Board Member Rohde. Vote: Board Member Holmgren – aye, Board Member Rohde – aye, Board Member Seamons – aye, Board Member Vance – aye. Motion approved.
2. Approval of minutes – May 4, 2021
Motion by Board Member Vance to approve the minutes of May 4, 2021. Motion seconded by Board Member Seamons. Vote: Board Member Holmgren – aye, Board Member Rohde – aye, Board Member Seamons – aye, Board Member Vance – aye. Motion approved.
Chairman Fridal called a Public Hearing to order at 8:08 p.m. to consider the adoption of the proposed final budget. There was one person in attendance.
3. Public Hearing:
a. To consider adopting the proposed Final Budget entitled “The Redevelopment Agency of Tremonton City Annual Implementation Budget 2021-2022 for RDA District #2 Fund – Downtown and Tremonton West Liberty Foods EDA 172” commencing July 1, 2021, and ending June 30, 2022
There were no public comments. Chairman Fridal closed the Public Hearing at 8:09 p.m.
b. PUBLIC HEARING HAS BEEN CANCELED AS NO AMENDMENTS ARE BEING PROPOSED- To consider adopting amendments to the Annual Budget entitled “The Redevelopment Agency of Tremonton City Annual Implementation Budget 2020-2021 for RDA District #2 Fund – Downtown and Tremonton West Liberty Foods EDA 172” for the period commencing July 1, 2020, and ending June 30, 2021
4. New Business:
a. Discussion and consideration of adopting Resolution No. RDA 21-05 adopting the Final Budget entitled “The Redevelopment Agency of Tremonton City Annual Implementation Budget 2021-2022 for RDA District #2 Fund – Downtown and Tremonton West Liberty Foods EDA 172” for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2021, and ending June 30, 2022
Executive Director Warnke said this is adopting the fiscal year 2022 RDA budget. The RDA will receive a property tax increase if it is approved, but it will be next year. We adopt the final budget through the RDA because it uses the certified tax rate that the County auditor has calculated for the fiscal year.
Motion by Board Member Vance to adopt the resolution. Motion seconded by Board Member Rohde. Roll Call Vote: Board Member Holmgren – aye, Board Member Rohde – aye, Board Member Seamons – aye, Board Member Vance – aye. Motion approved.
5. Adjournment
Motion by Board Member Rohde to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconded by Board Member Holmgren. Vote: Board Member Holmgren – aye, Board Member Rohde – aye, Board Member Seamons – aye, Board Member Vance – aye. Motion approved.
