“ALL GAVE SOME; SOME GAVE ALL”

To some people, Memorial Day is their first day to go camping of the year, have a BBQ with friends or a time to work on their suntan for the summer.

But Memorial Day is so much more than that. It is a day to honor those who gave their lives so that we may have our freedoms. A day to remember the sacrifice of those that gave everything. A day to be grateful for the country we live in.

Memorial Day, which was originally called Decoration Day because it was a day on which the graves of fallen soldiers were decorated, was established in the years after the Civil War to honor those who died in that war. Today, it is a day of remembrance of all who have died in this country’s service. Memorial Day is not about division. It is about reconciliation; it is about coming together to honor those who gave their all.  Join with us as we gather to remember those brave men and women who lived and gave that life for us, our freedom and our country.

This Memorial Day we encourage you join us at the Tremonton Riverview cemetery and honor those from the bear river valley that lost their lives for our freedom while in duty to our country.

Remember the sacrifice of the families that lost loved ones that are still among us today.

Be grateful for our freedoms we have and the opportunity to live in this amazing country.
