Chairman Capener called the Planning Commission Meeting to order at 5:32 p.m. The meeting was held via Zoom November 10, 2020 in the City Council Meeting Room at 102 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah. Chairman Capener, Commission Members Fowler, Janssen, Sorensen, Stokes, Zoning Administrator Bench, and Deputy Recorder Nelson were in attendance. Commission Members Eberhard and Greener, and Councilmember Rohde were excused.
1. Approval of agenda:
Motion by Commission Member Stokes to approve the November 10, 2020 agenda. Motion seconded by Commission Member Sorensen. Vote: Chairman Capener – aye, Commission Member Fowler – aye, Commission Member Janssen – aye, Commission Member Sorensen – aye, Commission Member Stokes – aye. Motion approved.
2. Approval of minutes—September 22, 2020
Motion by Commission Member Stokes to approve the September 22, 2020 minutes. Motion seconded by Commission Member Fowler. Vote: Chairman Capener – aye, Commission Member Fowler – aye, Commission Member Janssen – aye, Commission Member Sorensen – aye, Commission Member Stokes – aye. Motion approved.
3. New Business:
a. Discussion and consideration of preliminary review for Spring Acres, Phase 7
Administrator Bench said this property on the hill is the last piece for the Spring Acres Subdivision. Anything they do from now on will have to go up onto the hill. This cul-de-sac has six lots and is zoned R1-12, which is a 12,000 square foot minimum. Secondary water will be extended. Commission Member Stokes asked if the cul-de-sac meets the requirements? Administrator Bench said it does and has been reviewed by the City engineer.
Motion by Commission Member Sorensen to approve this preliminary and send it back to the DRC. Motion seconded by Commission Member Janssen. Vote: Chairman Capener – aye, Commission Member Fowler – aye, Commission Member Janssen – aye, Commission Member Sorensen – aye, Commission Member Stokes – aye. Motion approved.
4. Adjournment
Motion by Commission Member Fowler to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconded by consensus of the Board. The meeting adjourned at 5:38 p.m.
