George Laurence Allen – U.S. Army

While serving with the 65^th Armored Infantry Battalion in Belgium, Bastogue, Chenogne, George was getting out of a jeep and stepped onto a land mine.  It took off his foot and shrapnel hit his head.  This happened the 1^st of January 1945 and he died on the 6^th of January.  He had served in Germany, France, and Austria.
