City Works Updates – June 22nd
Public Works Update: Compost Availability & Upcoming Paving Projects
Tremonton City Public Works would like to share a couple of important updates with residents regarding compost availability and upcoming road improvements.
Compost Update
Our spring and early summer compost season has been a tremendous success. Compost is produced seasonally using recycled wastewater treatment plant solids mixed with green waste collected throughout the community. Because both the composting process and green waste collection are seasonal, compost availability is limited to certain times of the year.
At this time, compost is no longer available for purchase, and we anticipate composting operations will resume around September 1 for residents who would like compost for their fall landscaping and gardening projects.
Any remaining compost currently at the Public Works facility will continue to be available free of charge while supplies last. Once it is gone, no additional compost will be available until fall production begins.
We appreciate the community’s support of this program and look forward to providing compost again this fall.
Paving and Infrastructure Updates
As part of the ongoing waterline replacement project, contractors have scheduled paving work for the Tremont Street and 100 West project area on Thursday, June 25.
Residents and motorists should expect temporary traffic stops and minor delays throughout the day as crews pave trench crossings associated with the project. We encourage drivers to allow extra travel time and use caution around work zones.
In addition, paving work is planned for the cemetery roads next week. The exact schedule is still being finalized and will be shared once confirmed.
Thank you for your patience as we continue investing in the infrastructure that supports our growing community. These projects help ensure reliable services and safer roadways for residents now and into the future.
