UDOT to Close SR-102 Bridge over I-84

Closure Begins Saturday, May 31, 2025

SR-102 Bridge over I-84 – Tremonton/Bothwell Interchange (Exit 40)

Starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, UDOT will fully close the SR-102 Bridge over I-84 to begin a complete bridge deck replacement. This full closure will remain in place through August 24, 2025.

Freeway Closure: I-84 will close nightly in both directions from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., June 2-6 for demolition activities. Plan for moderate delays.

This bridge work will be completed using a single, continuous monolithic pour, which minimizes joints and improves long-term strength, durability, and construction efficiency.

What to Expect:

· Bridge fully closed over I-84 from May 31 to August 24

· Northbound I-84 on- and off-ramps will remain open

· Southbound I-84 traffic will be detoured via I-15 (see map below)

Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time to follow the posted detour.

Project Background

Three bridges over I-84 in Box Elder County have been identified for necessary maintenance, repair, or full replacement. UDOT is committed to maintaining the safety and reliability of bridges throughout the state.
