Today marks one year since our community lost two of its own, Sergeant Lee Sorensen and Officer Eric Estrada, who were killed in the line of duty while responding to help a neighbor in need.

For many in Tremonton, that night changed our community forever. We felt the shock, the grief, and the pain of losing two people who had dedicated themselves to protecting and serving others.

Today, our thoughts are especially with their families, loved ones, fellow officers, and all those who continue to carry their memory.

We also want to recognize the men and women of the Tremonton-Garland Police Department who continue to serve our community each day. We know that service sometimes comes with a personal cost, and we are grateful for the courage, compassion, and commitment they bring to their work.

Lee and Eric will not be forgotten. Their service, their sacrifice, and the lives they touched will forever be part of the story of our community.

On this anniversary, Tremonton remembers, mourns, and gives thanks.

We remember Lee and Eric. We honor their service. We stand with their families. And we are grateful for those who continue to serve and protect our community.
