Starting next week, we will no longer be accepting green waste, including cardboard at the Public Works Compound. We will only be accepting it at the Compost Facility located at 8700 W 6800 N (Tremonton) from Monday – Thursday from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM and from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM, until our summer seasonal hours begin.
We need to make this change to be more efficient with time and resources, and to save the City money going back and forth between the Public Works Compound and the Compost Facility. Also, we need the space there at our compound.  Soon, we will be doing major construction at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and we will require that space for a construction staging area.
As a note, we will still be providing and loading finished compost at the Public Works Compound as we have always done.
I know this will require the public to make some adjustments and we appreciate their patience and understanding.
